On February 25th, 2026, twenty tailoring trainees graduated and received sewing machines along with start-up materials to establish their tailoring businesses. The graduates, their parents, and local leaders expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Paul Hodges Trust for the support and the incredible opportunity provided through the year-long tailoring training course. Parents and local leaders emphasized that, before this training, many young girls and women had lost hope after dropping out of school.       

Now, these individuals have emerged as skilled and empowered, ready to earn a living. This initiative is expected to lead to financial independence among the young women in the targeted communities. The trainees plan to gradually set up their tailoring businesses from their homes or local trading centers. Additionally, NCD is planning to conduct monitoring visits to follow up on the progress of these established businesses.

Parish Chief Mr. Musisi Franco expressed his gratitude to the Paul Hodges Trust and Network for Community Development for their significant support of the girl child in the community through the tailoring program. He also advised the trainees on how to utilize the skills they had acquired to achieve a stable income.
