Parents and guardians play a pivotal role in ensuring sponsored girls attend school regularly:

NCD held an empowering parents' meeting for the sponsored girls under Mundo Cooperante, where staff engaged in meaningful discussions about various factors impacting the academic journey of the girl child. They explored the vital roles and responsibilities of parents, emphasizing children’s rights protection, eliminating violence against children, and strengthening learner/ parent’s relationship.

NCD team emphasized the critical roles that parents and guardians play in supporting their children attend school regularly through creating a supportive learning environment.

We highlighted the importance of a positive learner / parents relationship fostering educational success for girls. A positive learner /parent  relationship and open communication  is crucial in establishing trust, guidance, and support which are key elements that contribute to a girl’s academic achievement.

Parents were encouraged to regularly monitor the progress of their learners through following up on homework, assignments, and test results and maintaining contact with the school to discuss the learner’s strengths and weaknesses

Parents are encouraged to remain vigilant and attentive detecting  early warning signs that contribute to school drop out.
