EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI)
Introduction
Network for Community Development (NCD) is a Ugandan Women’s Rights Organization committed to improving lives by providing appropriate training, management, and evaluation of community-based development programs. NCD also undertakes participatory research and collaborates with various partners to strengthen community initiatives.
NCD, in partnership with the Center for Reproductive Rights (CRR), is currently implementing the SHE SOARS project.
Sexual and Reproductive Health and Economic Empowerment (SHE) Supporting Out-of-School Adolescent Girls' Rights and Skills (SOARS) — SHE SOARS — is a seven-year initiative funded by Global Affairs Canada through CARE Canada. The project aims to enhance access to sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services for adolescents, particularly out-of-school adolescent girls, in Kenya, Uganda, and Zambia, and to support the realization of their sexual and reproductive rights.
Working closely with CRR and other partners, NCD advocates for evidence-based, accountable, and equitable SRHR policies, standards, legal frameworks, and services at local, national, regional, and global levels — all focused on improving the health and wellbeing of adolescents and young people in Uganda, Kenya, and Zambia.
