Under this program area, we work towards ensuring that people in need increase their incomes for self sustenance.
Our approach is support communities form Self Help Groups. SHGs are small voluntary associations of people from the same socio-economic background with a purpose of solving their common problems through mutual help.
These groups are composed of 16-20 people that generally have broad anti-poverty agendas. These groups are an instrument for a variety of goals including empowering women, developing leadership abilities among poor people and increasing access to loans.
